NOTE: We are currently experiencing very high traffic in eJUROR. Thousands of potential jurors may be attempting to log in at once. This can sometimes cause problems for the website. If you receive an error message, please try again later. Thanks for your patience.
If you have received a postcard in the mail which looks like the sample below, it is legitimate and is from the United States District Court. Federal law requires you to complete a Juror Qualification Questionnaire within ten (10) days after you receive this postcard. You are not being summoned to serve as a juror at this time. The purpose of the questionnaire is to obtain information that will allow us to determine if you are qualified to serve as a federal juror.
You must complete the questionnaire regardless of your age, health, place of residence, availability to serve, or any other factor.
Please complete the questionnaire online through our electronic jury system, eJUROR. If you cannot or do not wish to submit the questionnaire in electronic format, a paper questionnaire will be mailed to you in the near future. You may fill it out and return it to the court in the prepaid envelope provided. If you complete the questionnaire online, you do not need to return the paper questionnaire.
Do not call or send letters or emails asking to be excused from jury duty at this time. If you are summoned later, you will have the opportunity to request to be excused then.
Our system of justice is founded on the right to a trial by jury. Jury service is both a privilege and an obligation of every American citizen. While completing the questionnaire is required by law, it should only take a few minutes of your time. Thank you for your cooperation and your participation in this important process.
