Our courtrooms have equipment for making language barriers or hearing problems less obtrusive. The headset (shown) receives a direct transmission from the interpreter's microphone or can act like a hearing aid by amplifying the volume of the courtroom itself. There are extra headsets available in each courtroom.
Alternately we have translation available via telephone. This is a system where a translator can hear everything going on in the courtroom one one line and talk privately with the person they are translating for on another line.
